So, I was sitting downstairs eating breakfast with my host mom and dad when I noticed a book that they had from their church. I asked them about it and they explained that a new book comes out every month and has suggested study topics from the Bible. I first said "Oh, my church doesn't have anything like that, that's cool." But then I thought of the Ensign/Liahona! "Wait!" I shouted, "We do have something like that, wait one minute". I then rushed up to my room to pick up the October Liahona that I purchased on the temple trip. I showed it to my parents and they read a story or two.
I was then prompted to give them the Book of Mormon that I purchased at the temple. At first I argued against the prompting because I had already shared quite a bit, and they were doing so well with the Liahona! But, I've heard enough conference talks to know that you follow the prompting, no matter how weird it may seem.
So, I said that I had something else for them and I ran upstairs to grab the Book of Mormon and said a quick prayer that I could bear my testimony and that they could know of my love for the gospel and the Book of Mormon. I went downstairs and gave it to them. I bore my testimony and said that I knew the Book of Mormon is true and it means so much to me in my life. I said that if they did not want it, they should just give it back to me because I would hate to see it in the trash. They said that they understood and that they would read it. So, at the breakfast table that morning, my host mom opened up to the introduction page of the Book of Mormon and started reading while my host dad read the Liahona. It was a fantastic sight.
I don't know if anything will come of this anytime soon. But, I know that it planted a seed that they may someday remember and nourish it.
I know that God loves all of His children and that he wants us to return to Him. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it truly testifies of Jesus Christ. I know that this gospel is true.

I'm so proud of you. Get it girl. Get it.
